Rotate and Flip Images

Rotate by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, mirror horizontally or vertically, stack them, download the result.

How to Use

  1. Import the image

Paste a URL or pick a local file; it appears in the preview straight away.

  2. Set the angle and flips

Choose 0, 90, 180 or 270, tick horizontal and vertical as needed — everything stacks.

  3. Check the size and download

The info line shows original W × H → output W × H; confirm it and download the PNG.

FAQ

Why do the dimensions swap after a 90 degree rotation?

That is correct. Rotating 90 degrees turns the long edge into the vertical one, so an 800×600 image comes out as 600×800. The output canvas is sized for the rotated orientation and the info line shows both the original and the output dimensions.

What is the difference between horizontal and vertical flipping?

Horizontal flips left to right, vertical flips top to bottom — that is, the mirror runs along the other diagonal. Ticking both gives the same orientation as a 180 degree rotation, but not the same result: a flip mirrors every pixel so text comes out backwards, while a 180 degree rotation leaves text upright but upside down.

Can I rotate just part of the image?

Not with this tool, the operation applies to the whole image. To rotate a region, crop it out first with the crop tool and bring that piece here.

Does processing lose quality?

No. Rotation and flipping only move pixels — nothing is scaled and nothing is re-encoded, so the output PNG matches the original pixel for pixel. The only difference is that a JPEG upload comes back as PNG, which may be a larger file.
