How to Use
- Load an image
Enter a URL, paste a data URL, or use the local file picker — the file is read locally into a data URL, never uploaded.
- Select the area
Drag a rectangle on the preview, or type exact numbers into X / Y / width / height. Choose an aspect ratio first if you need one locked.
- Export
The right panel shows the cropped result and the source → output sizes in real time; click 'Download PNG' to save it.
FAQ
Is the image uploaded?
No. Reading, cropping and exporting all happen in the browser via Canvas with no upload requests, so it works offline (unless you supply a remote URL).
Why does a remote image fail to load?
Cross-origin rules mean the host must allow pixel access. Without CORS headers the image may display but its pixels cannot be read — download it first and use the local file picker instead.
Can I change the export format?
It exports PNG, which is lossless and keeps transparency. For JPEG or WebP, crop here first and then run it through the image format converter.
How does ratio lock snap?
The dragged width sets the height; if that would cross the bottom edge, the height becomes whatever fits and the width is recalculated from it, so the box never leaves the image.
