Working Days Calculator
Pick a date range to count total days, weekdays and weekend days, then adjust for public holidays and make-up work days.
How to Use
- Pick the range
Set the start and end dates; the default is a full month example and both ends are inclusive.
- Add holidays and make-up days
Put public holidays in the left box and weekend work days in the right one, both as comma-separated YYYY-MM-DD dates.
- Verify the breakdown
Read the four totals, then check the day-by-day list to confirm how a specific date was classified.
FAQ
Are both end dates included?
Yes. 1 October to 31 October counts as 31 days, matching a calendar grid — no need to add one.
How do I enter make-up work days?
Put them in the 'add back' field — typically weekend dates that were worked. Those days are then counted as working days.
What happens to public holidays?
They are subtracted from the weekday count and labelled 'holiday' in the breakdown. If a date appears in both lists, the make-up entry wins.
Can it span multiple years?
Yes, up to 20 years (about 7,300 days). Longer ranges just produce a longer breakdown; the totals are still computed in one pass.
