FAQ
Population vs sample standard deviation?
Population SD divides by n and applies when you have the whole dataset; sample SD divides by n-1 and estimates from a sample. They converge as the sample grows.
How is the median computed?
Sort the values: odd counts take the middle one, even counts average the two middle values. It resists outliers better than the mean.
What if there are several modes?
Every value tied for the highest frequency is listed — for 1,1,2,2 the modes are 1 and 2. When nothing repeats it reports 'None'.
What input formats work?
Commas, semicolons, spaces or newlines all work, with negatives and decimals allowed. Unparseable tokens are skipped and reported.
