FAQ
Why no Chinese word segmentation?
Proper segmentation needs a dictionary and a model loaded in the browser, which is a lot of weight for this job. Per-character counting is coarse but answers the real question — which characters keep repeating — especially once filler is filtered out.
What is the percentage relative to?
The tokens actually counted after stop-word filtering, not the raw character count. The shares therefore add up to about 100% and read directly as keyword density.
How are ties ordered?
Equal counts are sorted alphabetically by the term, so the same text always produces the same order and comparisons stay meaningful.
Can it handle a whole article?
Yes — tens of thousands of characters still return instantly. Lines are counted by newline, sentences by terminal punctuation, and repeated punctuation counts once.
